As I’m walking towards the Ban Khun Mei direction, I noticed there is a long queuing outside a shop. I immediately told myself that it must be some good food to eat and this is how I found this – Som Tam Nua.
Som Tam means papaya salad, very popular dish in Thailand. You easily could spot it everywhere you go, in restaurant and even along the street.
Since the shop called Som Tam Nua, so the dish that shouldn’t be miss is Som Tam. They offers varieties of som tam and I picked for preserved egg version. It is the mixture of all kind of flavor – spicy, salty, sweet & sour. The plus point is the papaya very crisp.
Another must order dish – fried chicken. It is very well seasoned, sprinkled with crispy fried chopped garlic and fresh spring onion, plus the chicken is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. What you can ask for more, except another serving. 🙂
Northeastern style Spicy Soup with Pork Bone – nothing special, we ordered because thinking to have some soup except Tom Yam.
Hot and Spicy Crispy Fish, it is really stayed true to it’s name – hot, spicy & crispy rolled into one delicious dish.
Som Tam Nua menu. Haven’t difficulty to speak Thai, just point at the picture and they will understand. Universal language.
